Uluguru Chain Mountains

Uluguru is a beautiful mountain range in eastern Tanzania  named after the Uluguru tribe, one of the most popular hikes short day trip at your plan for hike to lupanga peak 2150m above sea level a tough walk of 6 to 8 hours on this hike you will be able to see the kinole waterfall meet Waluguru people who are very friendly and enjoy the strawberries

A hike in the Uluguru Mountains to Choma Waterfall or all the way to Bondwa peak or  Lupanga Peak is a great way to spend the day!

It’s more of  a walk through villages on a steep dirt trail, it’s a true “hike” through treacherous terrain.

CHOMA TRADITIONAL VILLAGE WITH WATER FALLS 

Visiting the village you will have have an opportunity to meet with local people (Luguru people), get to know their history and culture and also visit a beautiful waterfall.

MORNING SIDE 

It is an Old Germany Settlement “hotel” it was built in 1911 and come into Operational in the 1970s, morning side is now used as a historical site. And here you will find the most breathtaking view on Morogoro

BONDWA PEAK

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Place offer friendly accommodation range from mid-range to budget guest-house, lodge, campsite and homestay, located at slope Uluguru Mountain most with stunning views

Homestay, you will live with a host family and will be provided with local meals three times a day. You will be living in the tribal villages and will become a part of the village life. Tribal homes are normally very basic mud or metal huts with no running water or electricity.

  • Taking care of Livestock like cow, goats, donkey, chicken etc
